In this tutorial you will learn how to create colored beads made from glue and alcohol ink. Once your beads are complete you can use them to turn your 4 Leaf Clover Charm into an awesome necklace that you will wear with pride!
Supplies needed to make beads and to complete necklace:
The Stream colored alcohol ink was dripped over the 2 end beads (oblong beads). In addition to the Stream color, also drip the Butterscotch ink over the oblong beads. When these two colors combine, a greenish color is formed.
Only use the Butterscotch ink on the round bead. If this is the 1st set of 3 beads, thread the wire through the metal bead on top of the bottle cap.
Curl both ends of the wire and twist wire. Tie ends of ribbons to wire ends. Make the knots very tight, tight enough that a wood bead can go over wire and ribbon to cover ends. Apply small amount of glue on wire and ribbon ends before threading through wood bead.
Even though there seems to be many steps to complete this necklace it is quick moving and the end result is quite pleasing!
Supplies needed to make beads and to complete necklace:
- 7" of wire
- E600 glue
- alcohol ink; stream & butterscotch
- 2 oval wood beads
- 2 green rhinestone circles or color of choice
- 4 leaf clover bottle cap charm
- 21" of ribbon that is 1/4" wide
Squeeze out a few beads of E600 glue onto wax paper. Allow the glue to slightly set.
Roll the beads between your fingers gently to form desired shape. Here is 1 round glue bead and 2 oblong glue beads. The beads in the top part of the picture have been made already.
Guide your wire through the beads easily being careful not to ruin their shape. The beads on the other side of the charm had already been threaded on wire the same way and then wired through the charm.
