I am truly loving this card.
First, I was a bit intimidated by this stamped image. As you can see from the pictures below the Image is like a collage. I really had no clue what to do with it. That's probably the reason why it has been in a folder for the last two years. This stamped Santa image was given to me about two years ago by my mom. I believe it is from a Stampin' Up Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-63655803811520961602014-07-15T16:08:00.003-04:002014-07-15T18:52:17.382-04:00Gray and White Wedding Card
This Gray and white wedding card is the result of an inspirational card challenge called Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
The awesome sketch that was provided is shown below.
I tried so many times to make the vellum strips go diagonal but I just was not happy with it that way so they are horizontal.

Congratulations on a New Baby Card
This shaped card was inspired by challenge called "Start from scratch challenge" over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog.
The base of the card in which the hot air balloon rests was made using water colors on white card stock.
To make the hot air balloon itself, I have made a tutorial on my blog.

Once you create your own hot air balloon embellishment, you can instantly lift up anyone's spirit by simply adding it to a card front or a scrapbook page. Create this hot air balloon in just minutes by making use out of your scrap papers. Different colors and patterns will contribute to your balloons uniqueness. The inspiration for this tutorial came from a challenge on Simon Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-88226012190227149042014-07-10T21:30:00.001-04:002014-07-13T13:58:03.843-04:00Christmas cards in july
These three cards and another one here, have a couple of things in common. Right off the bat, it's obvious they all are Christmas themed. They were all created by inspiration from card challenges online and they all have creative twist paper applied to them.
If you have been a crafter for sometime, you might be having a flashback right about now! This twisted paper became very popular Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com18tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-88034624955798950052014-07-06T14:51:00.000-04:002014-07-06T15:13:16.531-04:00White on White Card Challenge
This wintery white holiday card was created using inspiration from three different card challenges.
The white on white theme was a requirement for the Merry Monday card challenge and for the W is White Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Blog.
Inspiration for the card layout is from the Feeling Sketchy challenge blog.

Due to the fact that their challenge this week is 'anything goes' I will link this card up as well as the one in my last post.
The card front is made up of different designs from embossing templates. I purchased these templates quite sometime ago made by Darice. They came in a set of three. I enjoy using challenges to inspire my creative side. My card making activity has definitely decreased in the last year since I haven't been participating in these awesome challenges. Not only do I enjoy the creative thinking these challenges require but also the feedback from fellow card makers always brings on a smile!
These two cards were derived from the combination Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-60184198670524209012014-05-06T14:45:00.001-04:002014-05-06T14:45:37.057-04:00Mother's Day Gift Class

Eventually I would like to refurbish our coffee table. During my search, I came across so many magnificent ways to redo the table. In fact I think I am even more confused as to which technique I should use due to the ample amount of beautiful inspiration.
Here are a few of the coffee table reformations that I simply adored, from simple re-staining to making a mosaic design out of paper.

You can change that situation without splurging or waiting in hopes that someone will buy you one for a future present.
In fact, your handmade K-cup holder will be the better than a store bought one, for two reasons. The first reason being is that not only does this dispenser hold K-cups but it also has a compartment to hold sugar Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-54848518891504739162014-02-22T09:44:00.000-05:002014-02-22T09:45:23.052-05:00Sketch challenge Inspiration

Have you ever tried using a diecut that you can use to emboss, stencil, and cut?
Well I have finally opened up this cuckoo clock die cut set by spellbinders. It has been sitting on a shelf for a few months. Actually I was avoiding opening this set because of all the little holes in the diecut, I thought it would be frustrating to pop out all little pieces of paper. I was wrong! It is a computerized Brother cs-6000i. It has an automatic needle threader and the bobbin setup is fabulous! I will admit that when I have sewn in the past I would sometimes decide not to sew because the bobbin needed to be changed. So far I only have one complaint about the machine other than that it is pretty awesome!I have always enjoyed Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-22155283348931120042013-12-30T14:05:00.001-05:002013-12-30T15:24:19.085-05:00Kids Can Make This Large Holiday Wall Decoration with Ease Large happy holiday wall decoration that can easily be made by kids. This piece of work was made fairly simple and would be a great family project to make holidays. All you need are a few items that you may already have at home.Posterboard, paint, yarn, snowflakes, snowman, card stock, pre-made letters, Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-72900573841588122013-12-15T16:53:00.001-05:002013-12-15T16:53:46.891-05:00Beautiful decorations for the kitchenSee the picture below for a really great idea for decorating above your kitchen cabinets! Not only was this a very simple to put together, it was also very cost-effective! I have been thinking about this blog and wanting to make the time to add more posts. I see the last posting was a DIY Garland made from heart doilies.
I'm not sure if I explained why I made the heart garland or not, however, I made them to be part of shower decorations for one of my kids weddings. This card set of three are all made with Vellum.
Many people find working with vellum to be tricky. The reason for this is that most glues or Adhesives will either show through the vellum or make the vellum bubble in an unsightly manner.
You should use your glue sparingly when attaching vellum. Unlike patterned paper just attach the vellum to the card base In one Krystie http://www.blogger.com/profile/11046988662012816831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6678536550245343466.post-91239905497731914402013-07-01T15:14:00.001-04:002013-07-20T14:08:56.316-04:00Just Add A Little Paint
