In this little corner of the world I get lost in creativity; a craft project, an article or just in thought.

Dainty heart garland

Check out this darling Garland. These lacy hearts are just so sweet! This garland would be perfect for wedding parties, bridal showers, baby showers and so much more.

Due to the simplicity of making this garland you can whip up a whole bunch in no time at all!

The hearts on the garland are actually heart doilies. This means that you already know they are inexpensive and already precut for you.

To make this garland place two hearts facing each other and sew down the center of the hearts without removing the thread. Lift up the foot of your sewing machine push the sewn hearts further away from you as you slide in the next set of hearts to sew down the center. Continue this process until you have the desired amount of hearts on your Garland.

Vellum cards

This card set of three are all made with Vellum.

Many people find working with vellum to be tricky.  The reason for this is that most glues or Adhesives will either show through the vellum or make the vellum bubble in an unsightly manner.

You should use your glue sparingly when attaching vellum. Unlike patterned paper just attach the vellum to the card base In one or two spots rather than all four edges.

Place and attached an embellishment to the top of the vellum over the area where the glue or adhesive was used.

Using vellum on your handmade cards can be as simple as using regular paper when adhering to the helpful tips mentioned above!

Do you know of any other helpful suggestions when using vellum?

I'm sure many people including me would love to hear even more suggestions, Leave a comment and a link to your vellum cards!
