Personalized Pendant

The unique handmade pendant above is unique as you can personalize the back with any design or wording you like.

This awesome feature makes it perfect for gift giving and also makes it a nice memorabilia.

This particular pendant is a gift for Grandma.

In the beginning it looked like this . . .

Materials needed to complete this project:

~ metal rings (like ones used for wedding favors)
~ silver beads, 7-10 (depending on sizes)
~ sewing pins with colored heads
~ thin piece of wire (3")
~ small ring?
~ cording if making into necklace
~ hot glue gun
~ wire cutter
~twinkles
~ Q-tip
~ small piece of scrap paper
~ pencil & markers

metal rings, pins, beads
slide pin into bead, glue to hold pin head against bead
Stick pins in something to keep them help upright while glue dries

Cut off the pin metal that is coming out from the bead.
Place metal ring on a non stick surface.  Fill center of ring with hot glue -
Quickly place beads into the glue in desired positions.

Let glue set and dry for like 10 minutes
Lift piece up gently with slight prying action

With a small tool such as a  Q-Tip
coat the area in between beads.

The Twinkle liquid with dry with a beautiful glittery look.
Put aside allow to dry 20 minutes or so.

Trace the inside of the 2nd ring with a pencil
Cut out the circle

Add your design or wording to the circle of paper

Stack the 2nd ring on top of the 1st one on the back
Fill 3/4 of the way with your choice of glue

Place wire behind decorated paper circle
Bend wire so there is a loop
Place paper circle facing up toward you in center of the ring
Press paper into the glue gently
You can see the wire end coming out from the bottom that will be trimmed off

Cover paper with glue that will dry clear and hard

Hook a small ring to the looped wire
This will be the way the pendant can be attached to things

The pendant can be used as a zipper pull, decoration on a key ring, or be made into a necklace.

We used leather cord with a soft pink yarn to make a necklace.
